Position Overview
As the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that NMISA’s strategic goals and objectives are achieved through effective planning, monitoring, and evaluation. This role involves working closely with senior managers, program managers, and various stakeholders to assess and track performance against set targets, ensuring alignment with NMISA’s broader strategic plan. You will also be tasked with providing evidence-based recommendations for improvements based on your analysis of performance data.
Salary:
R 484 691.56 to R 570 225.37 per annum (all-inclusive)
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (the dtic) and the Department of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (DPME) to manage submission of plans, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor key performance indicators and strategic objectives to ensure the organization’s goals are met.
- Collect, record, and analyze performance data from Senior Managers and Programme Managers.
- Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring performance information is accurate and well-documented.
- Provide feedback on underperformance and recommend corrective actions to improve progress.
- Facilitate periodic evaluations to improve accountability, decision-making, and overall performance.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science, or Public Policy (postgraduate qualification will be an advantage).
- Additional certifications in Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation are a plus.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Experience:
- At least five years of experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluating projects to support organizational strategy.
- Experience with legislative requirements relevant to NMISA (e.g., PFMA, POPIA, Corporate Governance, and King codes) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and documentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
