CCMA Vacancy: Assistant Manager: Demand and Compliance Management

About the Role

The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in sourcing and ensuring the procurement of resources in line with government procurement guidelines. This role is focused on ensuring that all resources required to meet organizational needs are secured efficiently and cost-effectively. It’s an exciting position for a dedicated professional with a strong focus on demand management, contract management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will be tasked with several key duties including:

  • Demand Management: Understanding and fulfilling the organization’s supply needs efficiently.
  • Contract Management: Overseeing and ensuring that contracts are managed effectively and in compliance with guidelines.
  • Bid Process Administration: Administering the bid process to ensure transparency and fairness.
  • SCM Register Management and Reporting: Maintaining detailed and up-to-date supply chain management records.
  • Secretariat of Committees: Providing support for various procurement-related committees.
  • Team Support and Development: Leading and developing a team to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Monitoring and assessing the performance of suppliers to ensure service delivery.
  • Supply Chain Management Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant supply chain and procurement regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Expertise in demand management, procurement, compliance, and supply chain management systems.
