Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A B Degree in Human Resources or an equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in performance management, preferably within local government or a similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Performance Agreements and Reviews:
- Annually compile and align performance agreements with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan (SDBIP).
- Facilitate quarterly performance reviews and assessments.
- Policy Implementation:
- Advise on and contribute to adherence and maintenance of performance management policies in compliance with national legislation.
- Performance Improvement Processes:
- Drive performance management and improvement initiatives to ensure a skilled, effective, and productive workforce.
- Operational Processes:
- Regulate and manage operational processes to ensure accurate and high-quality service delivery.
- Governance and Risk Management:
- Implement governance frameworks to mitigate risks associated with talent and performance management.
- Financial Management:
- Ensure compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and uphold sound financial practices.
- People Management:
- Provide specialist support and advice to foster adherence to response time, quality, and service standards.
