Key Responsibilities:
As a Desktop Technician, you’ll be responsible for providing high-level technical support for desktop systems and devices. You’ll ensure the smooth operation of IT services, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, imaging devices, and configuring email systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Requirements:
- ICT qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
- At least 5 years of desktop support experience
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and email configuration
- Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Desirable Requirements:
- A National Diploma in relevant fields
- Customer service training/certification
- Experience in Microsoft Operating Systems, user application support, and call administration systems
- Certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
