Location: Pretoria (Roodeplaat)
Salary: R1 042 170 per annum (OSD Package)
Requirements:
- MSc in Numerical, Earth, or Natural Science.
- 6 years of post-BSc experience in natural science.
- SACNASP registration as a Professional Natural Scientist.
- Strong knowledge of the National Water Act and related policies.
Duties: - Lead and manage water quality information systems.
- Develop methodology for water resource quality data analysis.
- Coordinate technical reporting and publication.
- Provide technical support to DWS units and other departments.
2. Scientist Production Grade A – C – Ref No: 310325/02
Location: Pretoria (Head Office)
Salary: R721 476 – R1 084 368 per annum (OSD Package)
Requirements:
- BSc (Hon) in Natural Science or relevant qualification.
- 3 years post qualification experience.
- SACNASP registration.
- Knowledge of water resource management and protection.
Duties: - Develop regulatory tools and strategies for water resource protection.
- Oversee provincial water quality reports and find solutions to water issues.
- Support regional offices with water resources regulation.
3. Control Engineering Technician Grade A – Ref No: 310325/03
Location: Pretoria (Central Operations)
Salary: R522 741 per annum (OSD)
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 6 years post qualification experience.
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
Duties: - Monitor electrical/electronic services for government water schemes.
- Manage capital and operational projects.
- Research and enhance electrical/electronic designs.
4. Engineering Technician Production Grade A – C – Ref No: 310325/04 (2 Posts)
Location: Pretoria (Head Office)
Salary: R371 253 – R556 080 per annum (OSD)
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3 years of post qualification civil engineering experience.
- ECSA registration.
Duties: - Provide technical support in civil engineering design and drafting.
- Mentor graduate trainees and candidate technicians.
- Ensure safety and quality of technical designs and drawings.
5. Environmental Officer Production Grade A – C – Ref No: 310325/05

Requirements:
- National Diploma in Environmental Management or Natural Sciences.
- Experience in water services management or regulation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the National Water Act and related regulations.
Duties: - Provide support in processing water use authorization applications.
- Coordinate engagements within the water sector.
- Develop and review policies and guidelines for water use authorization.
