Eligibility and Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Public Administration, Business Management, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year administrative experience in:
    • Managing meeting arrangements
    • Taking meeting minutes
    • Making travel arrangements
    • Managing claims
  • Training: Proficiency in MS Office Packages, Project Management, Office Administration
  • Additional Considerations: A valid driver’s licence and security clearance are advantageous.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on factors affecting small business growth and sustainability
  • Contribute to the development of SMME policies, strategies, and frameworks
  • Perform performance monitoring inspections to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks
  • Provide administrative support, including minute-taking and report writing
  • Engage with stakeholders via written and verbal communication, presentations, and workshops

  • Personnel suitability checks will be conducted during the selection process.
  • Shortlisted candidates for SMS and/or MMS posts will undergo:
    • Technical exercise
    • Managerial competency assessment (optional for MMS posts)
