Eligibility and Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Public Administration, Business Management, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 1 year administrative experience in:
- Managing meeting arrangements
- Taking meeting minutes
- Making travel arrangements
- Managing claims
- Training: Proficiency in MS Office Packages, Project Management, Office Administration
- Additional Considerations: A valid driver’s licence and security clearance are advantageous.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research on factors affecting small business growth and sustainability
- Contribute to the development of SMME policies, strategies, and frameworks
- Perform performance monitoring inspections to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks
- Provide administrative support, including minute-taking and report writing
- Engage with stakeholders via written and verbal communication, presentations, and workshops
Important Notes
- Personnel suitability checks will be conducted during the selection process.
- Shortlisted candidates for SMS and/or MMS posts will undergo:
- Technical exercise
- Managerial competency assessment (optional for MMS posts)
- Applicants may be required to provide consent for access to their social media accounts.
- The successful candidate must sign a performance agreement within three months of appointment and submit an annual financial interests declaration form.
