Job Description:

As a Cashier at FNB, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring efficient and secure operations at the cashier station. Your role will include:

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service in line with company standards, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Cash Register Operations: Accurately process sales transactions using the cash register and safeguard company assets (cash, passwords, and POS systems).
  • Compliance: Adhere to legislative and audit requirements by ensuring all activities comply with governance standards.
  • Food and Beverage Support: Assist with food and beverage management and basic food preparation, such as cutting, chopping, or portioning food as scheduled by the supervisor.
  • Administration: Ensure careful and timely planning, reporting, and updating of all related information to ensure efficient administrative services.
  • Cash and POS Security: Maintain a secure environment by keeping the float, cash, passwords, and POS secure at all times.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock takes, either daily, weekly, or monthly, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • POS System Check: Log on and verify that the POS system is operating properly before service.
