Assistant Director: Budget Analyst

Salary: R444,036 per annum (Level 09)
Location: National Office, Pretoria
Essential Requirements:
- A Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) plus a three-year B Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance/Accounting/Cost & Management Accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in budget management or a similar financial environment.
- Knowledge of public financial management systems, including compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury Regulations.
- Advanced skills in financial management, project management, analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, review, and analyze the preparation of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) budget.
- Ensure that the budget is aligned with the Department’s strategic and annual performance plans.
- Monitor expenditure and cash flow, making recommendations for corrective actions.
- Prepare reports, assist with the annual financial statements, and manage financial governance risk.
- Supervise budget and financial management processes, providing guidance to other staff members.
