Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing support for over 15 computer laboratories (600 computers) used for academic teaching, research, and general student use.
- Ensuring public and departmental IT labs are fully operational with minimal downtime.
- Performing maintenance and troubleshooting to meet academic and conference requirements.
- Managing lecture timetable and examination bookings for IT labs.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience, including:
- Administrative experience in an electronic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills for hardware and software troubleshooting
- Expertise in operating systems, networking, and office software
- Experience with cloud environments
- One year of asset/equipment record-keeping
