1. Assistant Director: Human Resource Planning (Ref No: 75/2024 (ODOE))

Salary: R444 036 per annum (Level 09)

Location: Pietermaritzburg

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or NQF level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/administrative experience in Human Resource Management
  • Valid driver’s license

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act/Regulations, Skills Development policies, and HRM practices
  • Understanding of public service reporting procedures and work environments
  • Proficiency in computer-based HR management systems (PERSAL, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Human Resource (HR) Planning within the department
  • Implement and manage the Employment Equity Programme
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, strategies, and guidelines
  • Oversee internal HR special projects
  • Ensure efficient utilization of departmental resources

2. Assistant Director: Recruitment and Selection (Ref No: 76/2024 (HRA))

Salary: R444 036 per annum (Level 09)

Location: Pietermaritzburg

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or NQF level 6 qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/administrative experience in Human Resources
  • Valid driver’s license

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act/Regulations, Labour Relations Act, and HRM policies
  • Experience in recruitment and selection strategies
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in computer-based HR management systems (PERSAL, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the departmental recruitment plan
  • Manage job advertising processes within the department
  • Oversee recruitment and selection services
  • Guide selection committee members on recruitment policies
  • Ensure the efficient use of departmental resources
