1. Trainee Inspector (PANS-OPS/CARTOGRAPHY) – Gauteng

Purpose of the Job:
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a pilot qualification or ATC/ATSO qualification to gain hands-on experience in aeronautical cartography and instrument flight procedures. The Trainee Inspectors will receive training in areas such as:
- Oversight of procedure design and chart service providers.
- Validation and approval of flight procedures and aeronautical charts.
- Compliance monitoring of certified organizations.
You’ll also have the chance to engage in research and regulation development, contributing to the improvement of flight procedures, airspace planning, and aeronautical standards in line with ICAO SARPS (International Civil Aviation Organization Standards and Recommended Practices).
Key Requirements:
- Minimum: Grade 12 and a pilot qualification with an Instrument Flight (IF) rating, and/or an ATC/ATSO qualification.
- Ideal: Completion of courses in PANS-OPS, Safety Management, and the State Safety Programme.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a qualified Pilot with an IF rating and/or ATC/ATSO qualification.

2. Administration Officer – Midrand

The Administration Officer is the backbone of SACAA’s internal operations, providing vital administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth and efficient office functions. You will be responsible for coordinating meetings, preparing departmental reports, managing communications, and handling office logistics. Your role will ensure the department runs efficiently, enabling SACAA to maintain its high standards of aviation regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage departmental diaries, meetings, and events.
- Prepare reports, handle documentation, and maintain filing systems.
- Coordinate travel logistics and manage budgets.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and track projects and their progress.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum: Grade 12, with a certificate in Office Administration (preferred).
- Ideal: Diploma in Office Administration, Secretary, or Office Management.
- Experience: 1-3 years in office administration or a secretarial role.
