Key Requirements for All Positions:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant experience.
  • A valid Code B (or higher) driving licence is essential. Individuals with disabilities who have access to transport may also apply.

Competencies Required:

  • Knowledge of policies, legislation, and standards in public service.
  • Understanding of community composition and its functioning in the Western Cape.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Ability to self-manage and adhere to timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a municipal monitoring tool.
  • Collect, validate, and evaluate municipal data.
  • Prepare and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Draft annual municipal performance reports as per the Municipal Systems Act.
  • Manage human resources and performance within the sub-directorate.
