To maintain the highest standards in training and research, ATNS is seeking talented professionals for the role of Senior Instructor: Engineering Training. This position is designed for individuals passionate about aviation and eager to contribute to the development of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) training.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Instructor:
As a Senior Instructor at ATNS, your primary responsibility will be to deliver top-notch ATSEP training courses and conduct research aligned with ATNS’ mission to provide effective training solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the latest instructional techniques and improving training delivery. Some of the key tasks include:
- Conducting Training Content Analysis (TCA) and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for ATNS and external aviation stakeholders.
- Supporting the installation and implementation of engineering training systems at the ATNS Academy.
- Researching future Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) systems to ensure ATNS remains competitive in providing the best training.
- Creating and moderating assessment tools and developing training materials tailored to ATSEP needs.
- Providing mentorship to fellow instructors and working closely with tertiary institutions to create seamless transitions for students from academic studies to professional environments.
What’s Required for the Position:
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A B-Tech/B.Eng./BSc. Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or a similar field.
- Train-the-Trainer qualification and On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJTI) certification from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in course presentation, research, operation, maintenance, and engineering support for ATM/CNS systems.
