Post Title: Deputy Director: Music Foundation (P5)

Purpose of the Position:
To implement the goals of the Unisa Music Foundation in alignment with the university’s mission, promoting access to music education and excellence in performance.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or MTech in Music Performance plus 8 years relevant experience
OR
Doctoral Degree in Music Performance plus 5 years relevant experience - Valid driver’s licence (Code EB) and passport
Recommendations:
- International reputation as a performer
- Sound knowledge of Classical, Jazz, and Indigenous African music
- Leadership, innovation, adaptability, and strategic thinking
Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage community engagement, marketing, and fundraising
- Proven experience in performance, event coordination, music examination, and orchestra management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and music notation software
Duties:
- Lead the Unisa Music Foundation
- Manage community music programmes, concerts, and ensembles
- Represent UNISA in national and international competitions
- Promote and market the foundation
- Fundraising and stakeholder engagement
- Deliver professional services and participate in community outreach
